Tim Robbins to direct and star with Michelle Pfeiffer and Chloe Moretz in 'Man Under'
It's been a long time since Tim Robbins last directed a film, not since 1999's Palm d'Or nominated Cradle Will Rock. He seems to be shaking off the rust, though, recently signing on to direct City of Lies, an adaptation of the Arthur Phillips short story. But before that gets rolling, Robbins will tackle something else first, an indie drama titled Man Under.
Robbins will not only direct but star in the original story from writer Ann Cherkis, and he's bringing Michelle Pfeiffer and Chloe Moretz along with him. The film follows a family in Yonkers whose lives are turned upside down when photos of them are put on display in the Museum of Modern Art, turning them into instant celebrities.
This'll be a Dark Shadows reunion of sorts for Pfeiffer and Moretz, so hopefully this turns out better than that did. [Variety]
