James Marsden joins Elizabeth Banks in 'Walk of Shame'
James Marsden is a great comedic actor when given the opportunity, but far too often he gets stuck playing the good-looking boring dude with potential. It's like he's always being cast as Cyclops whether he's in an X-men movie or not. While we wait to see if he'll get called back for X-men: Days of Future Past, he'll be spending part of next year hanging out with Elizabeth Banks. Not a bad gig if you can get it.
Marsden has signed on to Walk of Shame, the new comedy starring Banks as a high-strung aspiring LA TV reporter who goes out for a wild night of drinking after losing out on an important audition. Waking up the next morning with no money, car, ID, or clothes, she's notified by her agent that she actually won the audition and must get across town to the station by 5pm, experiencing all sorts of misadventures along the way. Marsden's role is unclear right now but I'm guessing he'll either by a TV exec or a love interest. Likely both.
Steven Brill, who directed Drillbit Taylor and wrote Ready to Rumble, is on board for this one so gauge your expectations accordingly.
