It's the 80s all over again! Or for guys like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, the 80s never really went away. Both have films coming up that tap into the hayday of their careers when over-the-top action was the pathway to success. Those days have kind of gone away, but if it were up to these old guys they might be making a comeback.
The first out of the gate is Arnold Schwarzenegger's The Last Stand, which we've seen a number of trailers for already. A new 60-second spot has been released, which continues to tread the balance between comedy and wild violence. It's a balance South Korean director Kim Ji-Woon has walked a few times before, so he should have a pretty good handle on it. Schwarzenegger plays a small-town sheriff who must rally his young forces and stop an escaping druglord from reaching the Mexico-US border. The Last Stand opens on January 18th 2013....
