Pete Docter's next Pixar film now titled 'The Inside Out'

Pixar never really stopped crafting original works, but for awhile it began to feel like they had jettisoned them in favor of sequels. We've still got a couple of them on the way, but the studio has a number of ambitious original films in development, with the most promising of these what we've come to know as the "untitled Pixar movie that takes you inside the mind". Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

Directed by Pete Docter(Monsters Inc.) and written by Michael Arndt(Toy Story 3), all we really knew about it was what John Lasseter revealed, saying it "takes place inside of a girl’s mind and it is about her emotions as characters, and that is unlike anything you’ve ever seen."

Our good friend Brendon Connelly at Bleeding Cool has learned through his sources that the film is to be titled The Inside Out. It hasn't been cleared or made official yet, but he did find another reference to it from Disney's distribution chief. So I'm inclined to agree this will be the title. I don't believe in coincidence.

Whatever it turns out to be, the film is expected to open on June 19th 2015. Wow, 2015 is shaping up to be the craziest year for movies ever.
