Two clips from 'Zero Dark Thirty' with Jessica Chastain, Kyle Chandler, and Joel Edgerton

The day Osama Bin Laden was caught and killed will always remain an important moment in this country's healing process after 9/11, but what shouldn't be forgotten is the many years it took to find him. During that time there was a considerable amount of debate as to whether or not we should even be hunting him at all. The Presidential administration during that time felt it wasn't all that necessary, preferring to focus resources on Homeland Security. The debate at the heart of the matter raged amongst the intelligence community, and it appears to play a major part in Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty.

Two clips from the film have been released, both featuring Jessica Chastain as Maya, a CIA analyst who has dedicated ten years of her life to tracking down Bin Laden. In one scene we see her going toe-to-toe with Kyle Chandler in a heated debate over where her attentions should be focused. In the next clip, we see Chastain watching a team of Navy SEALs led by Joel Edgerton take off for what is presumably the final firefight at Bin Laden's home.

Zero Dark Thirty gets declassified on December 19th....
