Al Pacino and Brian De Palma reunite for Joe Paterno biopic 'Happy Valley'

It's been a lot of years since Al Pacino hooked up with his Scarface and Carlito's Way director, Brian De Palma, but the wait is about to end. The two are set to team up on a biopic of disgraced Penn State head coach, Joe Paterno, in a film tentatively titled Happy Valley.

We learned a few months ago that Pacino had taken on the role of the legendary coach, who saw his career tarnished thanks to the Joe Sandusky child molestation scandal. Based on Joe Posnanski's best selling novel, Paterno, the film will be adapted by Dave McKenna(American History X).

Pacino has hit a groove playing famous, tragic figures, starring as Jack Kevorkian in You Don't Know Jack, and as Phil Spector in David Mamet's upcoming HBO film. [Deadline]
