Another confounding trailer for Shane Carruth's 'Upstream Color'
One of the films I'm most eager to see next week at Sundance is Shane Carruth's Upstream Color, if only to finally get a few answers as to what the heck it's about. We've seen a couple of really puzzling trailers already, all of which were gorgeously shot but utterly confusing. They opened up far more questions than they solved, and now a new one has emerged which only muddies the waters further.
Upstream Color premieres in Park City on January 22nd, so expect a review soon. Check out the trailer and new synopsis below, but don't expect to learn much from either. [Vlicious! via ThePlaylist]
PLOT: A young woman (Amy Seimetz) is abducted and seemingly brainwashed via an organic material harvested from a specific flower. She later meets a man (Carruth) and after the two fall for each other, they come to realize he may also have been subjected to the same process.
