New posters for 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire', 'Mood Indigo', and 'Carrie'

The momentum is starting to build on a number of 2013's most anticipated films, but probably none more so than The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. A handful of new photos emerged last week from the sequel to last year's blockbuster, which wrapped up 2012 as the third highest-grossing film of the year. Now the early marketing push continues with the reveal of a teaser poster, which is essentially the same design as the logo and motion poster from last November. Directed by Francis Lawrence, the story puts Katniss(Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta(Josh Hutcherson) back in the arena for the 75th Hunger Games as rebellion grows throughout the nation of Panem. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens on November 22nd.

It's been a rough couple of years for Michel Gondry, but hopefully that's all about to turn around. The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind director failed pretty hard with last year's The We and the I, and now he's coming back with a film that seems more in tune with his unique visual style. The first poster for Mood Indigo has arrived, with stars Audrey Tautou and Romain Duris in an underwater moment of pure whimsy. Adapted from Boris Vian's 1947 novel Froth on the Daydream, the story follows a wealthy inventor whose wife falls ill due to a water lily in her lungs. He begins to drain his fortune on the only thing that can keep her alive, surrounding her constantly with fresh flowers. Omar Sy(The Intouchables), Gad Elmaleh, Charlotte Lebon, Alain Chabat co-star. Mood Indigo opens in France on April 24th.

Julianne Moore had a big night at the Golden Globes, winning for her stellar performance as Sarah Palin in Game Change. And as usual, she looked stunning up there on stage, a far cry from the withered old crone she resembles on the new poster for Carrie. Recently bumped seven months to October 18th, the Kimberly Peirce-directed film is based on Stephen King's horror classic, with Chloe Moretz as the titular schoolgirl gone wild with telekinetic abilities. Moore plays her batsh*t crazy, fundamentalist mother. So really it's not that much of a stretch from playing Palin, after all. [FirstShowing]
