New trailer for hitman film 'The Iceman' starring Michael Shannon
Despite debuting on the festival circuit last year, and featuring a star-studded cast, we haven't heard much about hitman flick The Iceman in a long time. The film stars Michael Shannon as infamous mob hitman Richard Kuklinski, who claims to have killed more than 100 people while also juggling life as a family man. We've seen one trailer before, which didn't do much in the way of kicking up interest, and now as the spring release date nears, a new one has been revealed which takes a slightly different approach.
This trailer tones down the action a little and focuses a bit more on Kuklinski's home life, with Winona Ryder as his wife. You can't make a mafia film without Ray Liotta in there somewhere, and he appears as Roy DeMeo, the leader of the notorious DeMeo Crew. Chris Evans, James Franco, Stephen Dorff, and David Schwimmer lead a great cast. Still, the reviews skewed towards the negative, with many claiming the film doesn't explore the duality in Kuklinski's life thoroughly enough.
