You've never seen a Michael Fassbender like this before
It's safe to say that Michael Fassbender is a sex symbol, right? I've often been ridiculed for the man crush I have for him, but studios haven't been shy about playing up his unnaturally good looks in hyping his many films. He even managed to smolder as a manipulative android in Prometheus. For his next project we're going to see a totally new Fassbender, one whose face is hidden under a giant paper mache head.
Yep, that's Fassbender in the first image from Frank, standing between Maggie Gyllenhaal and Domhnall Gleeson. Directed by Lenny Abrahamson, with a script by Jon Ronson and Peter Straughan, the story is based on the life of Chris Sievey, the musician/comedian who created the big-headed alter ego Frank Sidebottom. Gyllenhaal plays his close confidante, Clara, while Gleeson is an aspiring musician who gets more than he bargained for by joining the band. Scoot McNairy, Clara Azar and Francois Civil are also on board.
Filming only began last week, so don't expect to see Frank until late this year or early next.[Film4]
