Danny Boyle's 'Trance' gets a bloody red band trailer
Danny Boyle's heist thriller, Trance, didn't look like the sort that needed a red band trailer. He's spent so many years making crowd pleasers that it's easy to forget that his early works had a bit more of an edge, and after taking a break to work on some other projects, Boyle appears to have gone back to his violent roots.
Sporting a ton of blood and torture to go along with the tense psychological head games, the story has James McAvoy as an art dealer who gets involved with a gang to steal some priceless pieces. When he gets a bang on the head and loses his memory during the heist, the gang thinks he's really hiding the loot's whereabouts. They hire a hypnotist played by Rosario Dawson to figure out if he's telling the truth. It's during their loopy therapy sessions we see some truly far out stuff, some of which involve strange things happening to Vincent Cassel's head.
Looks like another great one from Boyle. Trance hits theaters on April 5th.
