Thanks to a series of really well done short films, Pixar has done a terrific job of keeping the Toy Story characters in our thoughts. As if we could ever forget them, right? But surely they know everyone expects a Toy Story 4 at some point. I certainly do, which is why it's always going to be a big issue everytime a new rumor about it surfaces.
Thanks to our friends at BleedingCool for spotting two Colombian sources that seem pretty confident Toy Story 4 is happening in 2015. Like they may have inside information level of confidence. The website, Terra, flatly states it as confirmed by Pixar. An entertainment coordinator (whatever that is) for RCN, Jorge Luis Balaguera,tweeted the film will be bringing back Tim Allen, Tom Hanks, and Joan Cusack. Well, of course it would. Hanks has said in the past that Pixar wasn't finished with Toy Story, so maybe we should've taken him at his word?
Still, it seems very unlikely that news of this magnitude would break out on a Colombian outlet, and not as an official Disney announcement or something. Maybe they just got their wires crossed, or they believe sites like IMDB and Disney Movies List which have long had the film pegged for 2015, and even have cast listings up for it.
I'm going to be bearish on this one and say it's just a mistake. I still think Toy Story 4 will happen. We just won't find out about it this way.
