Nicolas Winding Refn and Ryan Gosling's latest collaboration, the thai boxing film Only God Forgives, still doesn't have a firm release date locked down. Some reports have it pegged for May 23rd, and Allocine suggests a trailer for the eagerly-anticipated film will drop in a couple of weeks. For now, we'll have to settle for a few new photos of Gosling, Kristin Scott Thomas, and bad guy Vithaya Pansringarm.
Gosling plays Julian, a man exiled to Bangkok and working in a Thai boxing gym, which is really just a front for his mother's drug operation. When his brother is mysteriously killed, Julian is forced to find the culprit, his search leading directly to Chang, a vicious ex-cop known as The Angel of Vengeance. Julian's mother wants Chang dead, and as we've seen in previous photos, he's not going down with a fight.
Whether Only God Forgives does open in a couple of months, it'll be first play at the Cannes Film Festival.
