Nicole Kidman to make cameo in 'Anchorman: The Legend Continues'

It's rare when Nicole Kidman ventures into the world of comedy, and that's largely because it usually doesn't turn out so well. She starred with Adam Sandler in Just Go With It, which did solid business despite getting savaged by critics and audiences. But her most high-profile stab at the genre was back in 2005 opposite Will Ferrell in Bewitched. It must have been a pleasant experience all around, because she's joining him again for a cameo in Anchorman: The Legend Continues.

While it's unclear what her role will be, it's likely to be small and just one of what is expected to be many guest appearances from Ferrell's celebrity friends, including the return of Vince Vaughn as Wes Mantooth. The film has Ron Burgundy and the Action Team moving to New York, where they will face racial integration and the advent of the 24hr news cycle. There also may be a custody dispute between Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) over their son.
