First Trailer For Disney's Animated 'Frozen'

Disney's latest princess film, Frozen, is based on the Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale, The Snow Queen, and it's arguably the writer's most accomplished work. It's a pretty exciting story, as well, that promises plenty of adventure in the Disney mold. Kristen Bell voices Anna, a young girl who teams up with a mountain man named Kristoff to find and stop the evil Snow Queen, who has their land trapped in a perpetual winter. None of that is present in the first trailer, however, choosing instead to target the kids with a bit of slapstick.

Looking more like one of those Ice Age shorts with the plucky Scrat, this teaser for Frozen is little more than a comedic showdown between the reindeer Sven, and a snowman, as they fight over the latter's carrot nose. It's an odd introduction to the film, and probably won't have parents too thrilled at the idea of taking their kids to see it.  The animation is solid, and the resemblance to Tangled is obvious, but the setting leaves a lot to be desired.

Frozen opens on November 27th, which isn't that far away. So we probably won't have to wait long to see a fuller trailer that shows us what this movie is actually made of.
