Another Harrowing Clip from 'Gravity'
Is Warner Bros. showing too much of Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity, months before it's due to hit theaters? It does seem as if the studio is anxious to capitalize on the extraordinary Comic-Con buzz, and the last couple of days they've been releasing one harrowing clip after another, showing how Cuaron is effectively using a continuous tracking shots to drum up tension. Now as we're receiving even more pulse-pounding footage, we see that Cuaron has more than one trick up his sleeve.
In this scene, which seems to take place sometime between the previous two, we see the tethered astronauts played by George Clooney and Sandra Bullock as they struggle to reconnect with their space station after a disaster in deep space. Visually, the film is absolutely stunning, and should be breathtaking in IMAX 3D, but the dramatically building score is just as impressive.
Gravity hits theaters on October 4th, but will play the Toronto and Venice film festivals first.
