Red Band Trailer and Six Clips from '2 Guns' Starring Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington

Those who have been waiting for Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington to break into the world of comic book movies will finally get what they want with 2 Guns, an action comedy based on the graphic novel series from Steven Grant. Directed by Baltasar Kormakur (Contraband), the film has Washington as a DEA agent and Wahlberg as a naval officer investigating one another for stealing millions from a Mexican drug cartel, only to realize they've both been set up by the CIA.

Six new clips and red band trailer have been released, which I'm not going to watch because it screens tomorrow, but everything we've seen so far suggests it will be another solid but familiar genre film for both actors, who are usually good for one of these a year. Kormakur has done more inspired work in his native Iceland (check out The Deep, which is amazing), but he seems to have found a champion here in Wahlberg, so don't be surprised if they team up again soon.
