Bryan Singer Reveals Giant Sentinel in New 'X-men: Days of Future Past' Set Image

The X-men have Sentinels of all different shapes and sizes to deal with in the comics. Some are the size of tiny nanobots, while others are closer to the proportions of an everyday human being. But the most dangerous and the ones that frequently terrorize the mutant population are towering, building-sized version that will be present in Bryan Singer's X-men: Days of Future Past.

Singer continues to tweet revealing set images from the film, and the latest has him standing next to a Sentinel that has been built completely to scale. The 'Future Past' viral site lists the Sentinels at about 18ft in height, and those proportions play out in imposing fashion in this photo. We've seen glimpses of how the Sentinels will appear before, but this gives us an indication of how dominating they should look when in action. They'll probably be rendered in some form of CGI during the action sequences, but it's good to see that Singer and his crew felt it necessary to use practical effects as well.

X-men: Days of Future Past opens on May 23rd.
