New Trailer for 'Carrie' Starring Chloe Moretz and Julianne Moore

When Sony bumped Kimberly Peirce's remake of Carrie a whopping seven months down to this October, it had been riding a wave of anticipation, but now it's sort of been forgotten. Maybe that's why they've decided to release the "second official trailer", even though it's virtually identical to the first one.

Chloe Grace Moretz plays the iconic teen from Stephen King's acclaimed horror novel, who channels her rage from a sheltered upbringing and tortured high school existence into fiery telekinetic power aimed at her abusers. Julianne Moore plays her unstable fundamentalist mother, with the rest of the impressive cast filled out by Judy Greer, Gabrielle Wilde, Ansel Elgort, Alex Russell, and Portia Doubleday.

The only real difference in this trailer is a small change to the phone number at the end, otherwise this exists only to serve as a reminder that Carrie opens on October 18th.

PLOT: A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloe Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom. Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, Carrie is directed by Kimberly Peirce with a screenplay by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.
