It's not likely to earn any Oscar nominations this fall, but Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills has a cast that rivals those that most definitely will. Plus it has a ridiculous amount of violence, sex, chicks with boob guns, and the mutual insanity of Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen aka Carlos Estevez. So even if it's not going to win any awards, chances are it will be a lot more fun than Saving Mr. Banks.
The latest trailer looks exactly like what a fan of 2010's pulpy grindhouse romp Machete could hope for. Danny Trejo is back as the "cut first ask questions later' ex-Federale who doesn't text but sports an Iphone with a dagger in it. He's hired by the President to put a stop to an evil genius with plans of launching a weaponized rocket into space, and along the way Machete runs a stunning array of beauties, from the returning Michelle Rodriguez and Jessica Alba, to new faces Amber Heard, Lady Gaga (!!!), Sofia Vergara with her deadly cannons, and many more.
Even if Machete isn't quite your speed, the eye candy alone should be more than worth it. Machete Kills opens on October 11th, and if it does well we can look forward to the sequel, Machete Kills Again!
