Tony Jaa and RZA in the Bone-Crunching Trailer for 'The Protector 2'

While we're all property jazzed for Tony Jaa to drive a knee into Vin Diesel's chest in Fast & Furious 7, the superstar Thai fighter will be breaking bones elsewhere before then. His first film since 2010's Ong Bak 3, after which he went on a personal sabbatical, will be in Tom Yun Goong 2, a sequel to the film we know as The Protector. It reteams him with Ong-Bak director Prachya Pinkaew and stunt coordinator Panna Rittikrai. And judging by this trailer (via BleedingCool), not only has Jaa not lost a step but he may be getting better.

Ok, so I have no idea what's going on, and nor do I really care. Jaa is probably protecting more sacred elephants or something, but that's not what we're interested in, is it? There are fights galore, people flipping through flames, aerial jumpkicks, and lots of snarling, angry faces ready to be punched. Included in those punchable mugs are Chocolate star Jeeja Yanin and RZA, perhaps hoping to lure Jaa in for one of his future martial arts projects? Perhaps he's getting an inside look at how a movie like this supposed to be done? I love you, RZA, but please take notes.

Chances are the film will eventually find its way here to America, but would you want to risk getting an edited-to-death version? Me neither. Tom Yun Goong 2 hits Thailand in October, and I'll be importing a copy as soon as possible.
