* You probably know Joseph Mazzello as the little boy from Jurassic Park (or one of my favorites Star Kid), but he's long since grown up and carved out a decent career for himself. Recently he appeared in G.I. Joe: Retaliation and had a supporting role in The Social Network, but now he's making the move behind the camera for his directorial debut. Mazzello will write, direct, and star in Undrafted, a baseball drama based on his brother's experience as a college baseball phenom who is passed over in the Major League Baseball draft and must come to grips with his crushed dreams. Aaron Tveit, Matt Barr, Chace Crawford, Tyler Hoechlin, Manny Montana, Philip Winchester, Billy Gardell and James Belushi make up the cast. [Deadline]
* Even though filming is already underway on Fast & Furious 7, there's still plenty of time to expand the roster even further. The latest addition is John Brotherton, who worked with director James Wan on The Conjuring. He'll play the right-hand man to Kurt Russell's villain character, so it's possible Brotherton may be hanging around for awhile. Fast & Furious 7 opens on July 11th 2014.
