There are plenty of people who may disagree, but sex can be as addicting as any drug. And when carnal desire begins to take over and destroy your life, sometimes the only way to break the habit is to quit cold turkey. After all the sexual indulgences we've seen taking place in Lars von Trier's Nymphomaniac, probably the last thing to expect is a scene where somebody actually tries to stop having sex, but that's exactly what this latest clip brings.
From Chapter 7, titled The Mirror, we see head nympho Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg) trying to rid herself of sex completely, and that means cutting basically everything else out of her life. Honestly, it's not too far off from the hermetic path Mark Ruffalo's sexually-addicted character chose in Thanks for Sharing, so maybe there's something to it. Of course, he eventually cracked and we know this isn't going to turn out well for Joe, don't we?
Nymphomaniac Part 1 hits theaters March 21st 2014, and On Demand March 6th. Part 2 is available On Demand April 3rd, and in theaters April 18th.

The image you see in a mirror will at first glance seem like an exact replica of the object you're looking at. However, this is in fact false, as the object will always be a mirrored, and thus flawed, version of the original object.
