After a couple of mysterious, very analytical teasers released earlier this week, a new full trailer is here for Wally Pfister's directorial debut, Transcendence. Starring Johnny Depp, Morgan Freeman, Rebecca Hall, Kate Mara, Paul Bettany, and Cillian Murphy, the high-concept sci-fi film centers on Dr. Will Caster, a scientist who creates the first sentient artificial intelligence, putting him at odds with anti-technology terrorists. In their attempts to destroy his work, they unwittingly set him on the dangerous path to transcendence. What's probably most surprising about this trailer is how ordinary it looks, and maybe we're expecting too much stylistically because of Pfister's work with Christopher Nolan, but for me this is a little disappointing.
