Jack O'Connell Rumored for 'Star Wars: Episode VII'

Rather than trying to list all of the actors who have been rumored for, supposedly tested for, or are confirmed but not really confirmed for Star Wars: Episode VII, perhaps it'd be easier to count those who haven't been mentioned. One who hadn't been in the running up until now was rising star Jack O'Connell, but now Bleeding Cool says he is a "real contender" for a key role in the film.

The story goes on to say that O'Connell met with Abrams, like so many of the other rumored candidates have, and the meeting went very well. O'Connell has been on fire of late, and will be one of the new faces in 300: Rise of an Empire. Bigger than that is Angelina Jolie choosing him to play Olympian Louis Zamperini in her next directorial effort, Unbroken. He's even been rumored to play Reed Richards in Josh Trank's upcoming Fantastic Four relaunch. Seems like a pretty good mix of franchises and heavy dramatic material, and Star Wars could be the icing on the cake.

Filming on Star Wars: Episode VII begins next year and hopefully we'll get some definitive word on something soon.
