'The Raid 2' Hitting Theaters March 2014

Yeah, pun intended with the headline.  Two years ago when Gareth Evans' instant-classic brawler The Raid hit Sundance there wasn't an empty seat in the house. And that's likely to be repeated next month when The Raid 2, subtitled Berandal, arrives in Park City. Fortunately, those who won't be able to hit snowy Utah in a few weeks won't have to wait long, because The Raid 2 is hitting U.S. theaters on March 28th 2014.

The sequel picks up right where action-packed first film left off, with Iko Uwais back as Rama, a cop forced to go undercover into the Jakarta criminal underworld to root out police corruption and save his own family. That means lots of punching and kicking people in the face, and Evans promises a greatly expanded locale for Uwais to cut loose in.
