What would the Barden Bellas be without their rebellious leader and her wise-cracking sidekick? With Pitch Perfect 2 on the way and Elizabeth Banks making it her directorial debut (after producing and co-starring in the first film), it was always sort of expected that Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson would be back, and now it's official.
Kendrick, who has been busy with a whopping three movies at Sundance (Happy Christmas, The Voices, Life After Beth), will return as Beca, with Wilson as Fat Amy. Kay Cannon wrote the first film and will pen the sequel, but there are no plot details just yet. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out though, right? As long as the musical mash-ups are hot it won't matter all that much.
Pitch Perfect 2 will open May 15th 2015.
