Falcon Gets His Own Poster for 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'

Last night at a fan screening in Hollywood for the Marvel One-Shot, All Hail the King, those in attendance were also treated to the first 10 minutes from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Descriptions of that footage are all over the Internet right now, but the consensus seems to be that it's intense stuff, combining Marvel-style superheroics with espionage flicks of the 1970s.  And part of that opening footage is apparently a meeting between Captain America (Chris Evans) and his new partner, Falcon, played by Anthony Mackie.

And now today it's Falcon who is receiving his own character poster, similar to ones we've seen featuring Cap, Robert Redford as Alexander Peirce, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury. The addition of Mackie, and Falcon for that matter, into the Marvel Universe is tremendously exciting and hopefully it'll lead to him having an even bigger role down the line.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens on April 4th. [Comingsoon]

PLOT: After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy—the Winter Soldier.
