One can understand why Quentin Tarantino would be pissed over his script for The Hateful Eight being leaked to anybody who wanted to read it. In his immediate fury he scrapped the entire project, has considered publishing it as a book, and has launched a lawsuit against Gawker for leaking the draft online. But it's been a few days now, and has his anger subsided enough that he would reconsider bringing the Western to the big screen?
According to Jeff Sneider at The Wrap, that's exactly what Tarantino is doing. Through a series of tweets, Sneider is spreading the rumor that The Hateful Eight is back on and that Tarantino has reached out to Samuel L. Jackson about it recently....
RUMOR: THE HATEFUL EIGHT is back on, as sources tell ME that Quentin has reached out to Sam Jackson in the wk since he called off the movie.

I'm told that the initial betrayal came as a shock, but QT has calmed down & is having second thoughts about moving on. Will rewrite script.

Obviously this isn't set in stone just yet, but maybe Tarantino has realized the leaked script was merely a first draft, and hardly worth shelving the entire project over. We'll see if this pans out soon enough, and if Jackson and Tarantino will be teaming up once again.
