Based loosely on Dostoyevsky's novella, the film has Eisenberg as Simon James, an introverted man whose life begins to crumble when his exact duplicate begins to make its presence felt. As the more confident version of himself begins to take over, looking to steal his job and the girl he loves, Simon must fight back to reclaim his life.
