Late last night Marvel finally dropped the
first, hilariously weird trailer for
Guardians of the Galaxy, and it seems they may have another big franchise on their hands, assuming earlier rumors are true. Now a handful of new photos have been released that give us a look at a ripped Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as the fierce warrior (and villain Thanos' adopted daughter) Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, plus the CG-duo of Rocket Racoon (he's not actually a raccoon) and Groot voiced by Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. Plus, Benicio Del Toro dons some crazy hair and fur as The Collector, and Karen Gillan goes blue as Nebula, who in the comics claims to be Thanos' granddaughter. Something tells me there will be some family rivalry between her and Gamora.
Guardians of the Galaxy opens on August 1st.
