Two Sides of Jesse Eisenberg in New Trailer for 'The Double'

One of the films I sadly missed at Sundance was The Double, Richard Ayoade's doppelganger tale starring Jesse Eisenberg in a dual role. Based on the Fyodor Dostoevsky novella, the story follows the shy and unimpressive Simon James who discovers he has a perfect double out there, and it's one who is more charismatic, more aggressive, more everything than he could ever hope to be.

A new "2 Snakes" trailer has been released, playing off the duality in not only the lead character, but the film's spooky-comedic tone. Mia Wasikowska plays the love interest at the heart of the story, who finds herself caught between the warring duo. Wallace Shawn, Noah Taylor, and Yasmine Page, and James Fox make for a strong supporting cast for Eisenberg to play off of.

The Double opens on May 9th.
