Craig Viveiros to Direct Ellen Page in 'Queen & Country'

Tara Chace may not be the most recognizable comic book heroine, but she's going to get her own solo film long before Marvel or Warner Bros. produce one for their bigger named characters. 20th Century Fox optioned the rights to Greg Rucka's award-winning graphic novel series, Queen & Country, setting Ellen Page for the Chace role. Now we know it will be Craig Viveiros directing the British agent's clandestine mission.

Best known for the British crime thriller, The Liability, this will be the most high-profile gig for Viveiros yet. Queen & Country was published by Oni Press and followed Chace and other SIS special agents, known as the "Minders", as they stop terrorists plots while dealing with stifling political bureaucracy.

The last film of this size and genre with a female star was Salt with Angelina Jolie, putting Page in some pretty good company. [Variety]
