You already know that I think
The Raid 2 is one of the best action movies ever made, so it's weird to have to say now that I'm glad this deleted scene was left out of the final cut. Gareth Evans' amazing sequel has Rama (Iko Uwais) going deep undercover in a crime cartel to root out more corruption. In the process he kicks a lot of ass, but is unable to prevent a gang war between the rival families from breaking out. This scene would seem to be a part of that, but I'm at a loss to figure out where in the film it would fit, especially since none of the principle characters are present. It's still an exciting clip and shows again why Evans is the most exciting action director working today. Shoot-outs, car chases, fight scenes...he can do pretty much anything.
The Raid 2 opens limited on March 28th, expanding on April 4th.
