Jude Law in Talks for Melissa McCarthy Spy Comedy 'Susan Cooper'

The partnership between Paul Feig and Melissa McCarthy has been wildly successful, and not long after last summer's buddy comedy The Heat blew up the box office, they began developing the next project. That would be Susan Cooper, a spy comedy franchise with McCarthy in the lead role and Feig again directing, and it looks like she's going to be surrounded by an A-list cast with the new addition of Jude Law.

According to The Wrap, Law is in talks for a role in Susan Cooper, joining the previously cast Rose Byrne and Jason Statham. The story, scripted by Feig, is still unclear but it's said to be a "realistic" spy film with McCarthy as a James Bond-type agent.  There aren't any details on Law's character, either, but he's no slouch in the comedy department. He can be seen now in Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel, and has the R-rated comedy Dom Hemingway later this year.

Susan Cooper is set to open May 22nd 2015.
