Marvel is continuing what should be a week of character posters for Guardians of the Galaxy, beginning with yesterday's Rocket Raccoon and Groot image. Today's features Zoe Saldana as the badass warrior, Gamora, who has the closest links to the villain Thanos as his adopted daughter. So why is she part of a team designed to foil his plans to reclaim a mysterious and powerful orb? While there could be some changes in the movie version, in the comics Thanos has tried to kill her multiple times and even wiped her out of existence once. So there's a little bit of bad blood.
Directed by James Gunn with Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, and Dave Bautista starring, Guardians of the Galaxy opens August 1st.
