Mark Wahlberg Discovers an Autobot in Two 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' Clips

While many will be coming to Transformers: Age of Extinction to watch their favorite childhood toys thrashing one another on the big screen, Michael Bay always centers these movies around the humans. And let's be honest, if he didn't we'd be complaining about the lack of human perspective, even if the storylines these people are involved in are ultimately pointless. Quick what do you rememember about Sam Witwicky's parents? Probably nothing, and they were in all of the prior movies for some unknown reason. Thankfully they, nor Sam, will be seen again in favor of a new trio of humans played by Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, and Nicola Peltz.

Two new clips have arrived and they show Wahlberg's character, who is apparently a dead-broke and overprotective father, discovering a wrecked Optimus Prime. Even without tons of stuff blowing up we still get Bay's trademark shots, like lecherously focusing on Peltz's ass, probably the reason he hired her to begin with. She's a talented actress, as seen every week on Bates Motel, but Bay has no interest in her ability to do anything except fit into a pair of tight shorts. Not even the presence of TJ Miller can make these scenes palatable and hopefully they don't last long.

Transformers: Age of Extinction opens June 27th, and if you're interested in catching it early just go here.
