Lullaby has a cast any director would kill to have: Amy Adams, Garrett Hedlund, Jennifer Hudson, Terrence Howard, Richard Jenkins, and Jessica Brown Findlay. So why has it been sitting on the shelf for so darn long with zero buzz? Perhaps the new trailer will give you some indication.
Just a couple of weeks since the first unimpressive trailer was released, a new one arrives that isn't much better. Emotionally manipulative, melodramatic, and with a generic love story in the middle, the film follows an estranged son who returns to his family when his terminally ill father decides he wants to die. So yeah, there's a right-to-die aspect in here, too, but it doesn't look like it will be dealt with in any depth.
Lullaby opens June 13th.
