The Hall H program isn't over at Comic-Con, but the question still remains: Who owns the day so far? Warner Bros. kicked the show off right with Batman v Superman, but ask some others and they might tell you the day belongs to the mad, as in Mad Max: Fury Road.
George Miller, who directed the original movies some 30 years ago and is back for the sequel, was on hand to present the first footage from the film, which naturally showcases Tom Hardy in the role made famous by Mel Gibson. The connection to those movies was made early and often in a highlight reel that led directly into the contemporary version. While the clip probably won't hit the web for awhile yet, Warner Bros. has released four new character posters that capture some moments from today's footage.
UPDATE: And now the trailer is here! Check it out below. The trailer really captures that Fury Road will basically just be a long chase movie, for better or for worse, but the overall design is certainly interesting. That dubstep-influenced score, though ... not so much.
Check out the trailer and character posters below. Also starring Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, and Zoe Kravitz, Mad Max: Fury Road opens May 15th 2015.
