Tyler Perry Animates his Cash Cow in Trailer for 'Madea's Tough Love'
So how many Madea movies did you see this year? The answer is a whopping ZERO because there haven't been any, with Tyler Perry's only release being The Single Mom's Club which you probably didn't bother to see. Chances are you did check him out in his best performance ever as smooth-talking lawyer Tanner Bolt in David Fincher's Gone Girl, but for those who like their Perry sporting a wig and dress something for you is on the way, albeit in an unexpected form.
Perry will inflict Madea on us in the new animated film, Madea's Tough Love. Can the nosey grandmother be more irritating as a cartoon? The simple answer is yes, but she was always a cartoonish figure anyway so maybe this was the smart route for Perry to take. Here's the synopsis, which basically sounds like any of the live-action Madea flicks.
After a hilarious run-in with the law, Madea is sentenced to community service. Determined to do good for the ’hood, Madea enlists Aunt Bam and Uncle Joe to try and save the Moms Mabley Youth Center from being shut down. With her irresistible sass and wisdom, Madea rallies the local kids to make a stand—and proves that behind her tough exterior is a whole lot of love!
Madea's Tough Love hits Digital HD on January 13th 2015 and VOD January 20th.
