There's something Rza and Vince McMahon share a knowledge of, and it's if you need a movie sequel done cheap and quick, Roel Reine is your guy. He's the director behind such WWE gems as The Scorpion King 3, The Marine 2, and 12 Rounds 2: Reloaded, and now he's also the dude responsible for The Man with the Iron Fists 2 which you had no idea was an actual thing.
The Man with the Iron Fists: Sting of the Scorpion has Rza returning as the Blacksmith, with Rick Yune, Andrew Lin, and others reprising their roles, although you won't find Russell Crowe anywhere near this one. So what's the plot? Who knows? Does it matter? The first one was incomprehensible and damned boring, which nobody would have expected from a kung-fu enthusiast like Rza. The trailers were off the chain, though, and this first one for the sequel is good, too. Perhaps the experienced Reine can deliver on the martial arts promise that Rza couldn't?
The Man with the Iron Fists has yet to gain a release date but is expected to go straight-to-DVD.
