What's that? You're not interested in this weekend's Super Bowl? Well, considering it will still be the most watched TV program of the year studios are rolling out footage from some of their biggest films to as many people as possible. In some cases they're getting started early, probably to save a few bucks because Super Bowl ad buys are super expensive. One of those with a new "pregame" trailer is The Divergent Series: Insurgent, the sequel to last year's YA hit starring Shailene Woodley.
Directed by Robert Schwentke and co-starring Theo James, Kate Winslet, Naomi Watts, Octavia Spencer, Miles Teller, Zoe Kravitz, and more, the story picks up where the last one left off with Tris and Four on the run from those who wish to eliminate all Divergents. Sounds a lot like the first one, right? The various factions will take more of a role this time as allegiances shift and secrets are revealed. Uh, and Tris gets to destroy lots more stuff, too.
Insurgent opens on March 20th.
