Haley Bennett Joins 'The Magnificent Seven' with Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt

There's a remake of classic Western The Magnificent Seven on the way, and while we certainly don't need one at least Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt are in it. The film will reunite Washington with The Equalizer director, Antoine Fuqua, and now another from the action is saddling up for a role.

Haley Bennet has won the female lead in The Magnificent Seven, playing a woman whose husband is murdered by outlaws, so she pays the bounty that assembles the group to find his killers. This version of the story, most recently penned by John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side), will center on a mining town rather than the poor Mexican village from the 1960 film.

Hopefully this means we'll see more of Bennett and Washington together than we did in The Equalizer. There are still five of the gunmen left to be cast, along with the bad guys, so expect plenty of announcements soon.  [Deadline]
