Hernandez, who starred Friday Night Lights, the underrated Crazy/Beautiful, and was terrorized in a pair of Hostel flicks, has landed a mystery role in Suicide Squad, based on the DC Comics series about a team of villains used as expendable assets by the government. The Wrap suggests he could be playing a cellmate of the Joker, who we know will be portrayed by Jared Leto. Where they come up with that idea is unclear, nor is there any explanation for why that would need to be kept hidden.
Hernandez joins Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Cara Delevingne, Jai Courtney, and Viola Davis. Suicide Squad opens August 5th 2016 directed by David Ayer.
