John Travola Eyes Action-Thriller 'I Am Wrath'

A couple of years ago Nicolas Cage was circling an action flick titled I Am Wrath, which may have seen him teaming up director William Friedkin, who was on a roll after Bug and Killer Joe. Well, that project never came to be even though some saw it as Cage's crack at a Taken-style comeback. But now it may turn out to be a bounce back film for John Travolta, instead.

According to The Wrap, Travolta is in talks to star in I Am Wrath, which will now be directed by veteran Chuck Russell (Eraser, The Mask), who hasn't directed a film since 2002's The Scorpion King. In what sounds like it could have been a plot for Taken 4, the story follows a man out for vigilante justice after a group of corrupt cops are unable to catch his wife’s killer. Oh hey, sorry, that was basically the plot of Taken 3. My bad.

No word on filming but a supporting cast to surround Travolta is being sought now.
