Arnold Schwarzenegger Cares for Zombie Abigail Breslin in First 'Maggie' Trailer

Looking forward to seeing what Arnold Schwarzenegger can do when he's not playing a machine gunnin' sheriff, a machine gunnin' corrupt cop, or a machine gunnin' Terminator? Most people would probably say "no" because that's what they like to see him doing (although the box office says different), a chance to see the Governator in something different is right around the corner. He's set to star in Maggie, a zombie film that isn't so much about destroying the undead than caring for one.

Originally set to debut at last year's TIFF before Lionsgate picked up the rights and pulled the plug, the film is now set to premiere at Tribeca next month. The first trailer has been released ahead of it, and definitely this is not what one would expect to see from Schwarzenegger. He plays a Midwestern father who cares for his daughter (Abigail Breslin) as she slowly transforms into a zombie. And no, this one isn't getting played for laughs like Life After Beth, it appears to be a subtle character piece from director Henry Hobson. "Subtle character piece' and Arnold Schwarzenegger? That should be worth the price of admission alone.

Maggie opens in theaters on May 15th.
