Captain Marvel may have Already Been Cast for Debut in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'

With Joss Whedon all but confirming that we haven't seen all of the heroes who will turn up in Avengers: Age of Ultron, the speculation has been that Captain Marvel may be making an appearance. The character is set for her own solo film in 2018 and has been rumored to be part of the team for months. And if that's the case she'll appear in this summer's sequel, doesn't it make sense that an actress has already been cast?

Latino Review is back again with a rumor claiming that Captain Marvel has indeed been cast and that Marvel is keeping it super top secret. She'll make her debut in 'Age of Ultron' just as many figured, before heading off to her own movie. On that front, comics legend Jim Starlin, the guy who created Thanos, is on board the film as a consultant while the search for a big name screenwriter is underway. The most frequent name mentioned as a candidate to play Captain Marvel has been Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff, and if Marvel is really being so secret we have to assume it's someone recognizable.  Emily Blunt, Ruth Wilson, and Yvonne Strahovski have also been listed as possibilities.

It's all rumors for now. We'll see what happens when Avengers: Age of Ultron hits on May 1st. My guess is we'll know the truth long before then.
