Here's a fun rumor that would see Watchmen's Jackie Earle Haley returning to the world of DC Comics. Latino Review's rumormonger El Mayimbe says Haley's name has been "tossed around" for David Ayer's Suicide Squad, playing the villain known as the Thinker.
While the site stresses this is merely a rumor, Haley would be an addition that makes the film even better. There have been four different versions of the Thinker, but the one they would most likely go with is Cliff Devoe, a lawyer who threw it all away to become the brains behind small-time criminal activity. He invented a device known as the "Thinking Cap", a metal helmet that projected telepathic force. Thinker would eventually be recruited into the Suicide Squad before betraying the team (a recurring issue for the Squad), and has mostly been a recurring villain of the Flash.
Haley was last seen in the remake of Robocop which starred Suicide Squad's Joel Kinnaman, so maybe there's a connection. Suicide Squad opens August 5th 2016.
