New 'Terminator Genisys' Images with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, and JK Simmons

The latest issue of Empire Magazine has a handful of new images from Terminator Genisys, the first of a new trilogy that will relaunch the franchise. At least until James Cameron gets the rights back in 2019, anyway. These new images feature Arnold Schwarzenegger and Emilia Clarke, with one image appearing to be a flashback of a young Sarah Connor rescued by the Terminator. We also get a look at Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons as Detective O'Brien, who hopefully won't end up like most cops in the Terminator movies do.

But this is a very different kind of Terminator film, one that begins in 1984 and follows the same territory as James Cameron's film. Jai Courtney plays Kyle Reese, who is again sent back in time to save Sarah Connor from the Terminator and ensure the birth of John Connor (Jason Clarke). However, at a certain point the story veers in a completely different direction than the one we're familiar with.

Directed by Alan Taylor, Terminator Genisys opens July 1st.  Anybody excited over this yet? There doesn't seem to be a lot of positive buzz one way or another.
