Here's your flimsy-as-Hell rumor of the day! Hey, at least we admit when a rumor is potentially crap and don't taut them as facts like some other sites do. Eastenders star Sam Strike has just landed a "very big US film" according to his agent. So obviously that means he must be Marvel's next Spider-Man, right? That's what some think.
The rumor is backed up to some degree by Strike's tweets and Instragram, in which he refers to and is even dressed as Spider-Man...
I love the miles morales spiderman series . But I don't think the movies are ready for him yet .spiderman is still incomplete . Next time.

He also talks about needing to go to the gym for a new role, which, duh, means Spider-Man!!! Of course, it could be and likely is something completely different. He also had the audacity to retweet Robert Downey Jr., who will co-star in Captain America: Civil War, expected to be the first place Marvel's Spider-Man will show up. So obviously SPIDER-MAN!!!!
The 21-year-old Strike starred on Eastenders for a year before leaving last December. He's had no major film roles yet so pretty much ANYTHING would be a major role for him at this point. In short, his agent may have just been happy for his client entering a new career phase.
But let's not completely write this off. It's still possible Strike landed a major superhero film. He could join his Eastenders mate Ben Hardy in X-men: Apocalypse. Or he could be part of any of a number of big studio movies in production right now. He could maybe even be Spider-man. With so little to go on literally anything is possible.
Marvel's Spider-Man film will be directed by Drew Goddard and open July 28th 2017. [via CBM]
